For a Bandon Dunes golf trip, stay at the resort if you can: lodging guests get lower green fees, earlier tee times and the resort shuttle between all the courses. Rooms are handed out through a yearly drawing, the 2027 windows have closed and the 2028 drawing opened in September 2026, so check the official drawing page for windows still open. If the resort is full, Old Town Bandon is about 10 minutes away and Coos Bay and North Bend about 30. The driest, most reliable weather runs August to October.

How tee times work
Lodging guests get the best green fees and book tee times along with their room. Day guests can book within 21 days at the day rate, or from April to mid November further ahead at a premium rate, with tee times after 10:00. Every course is walking only, and caddies are 100 USD a bag per round plus a tip.
A sensible plan
Four nights mid week works well: arrive and play Bandon Dunes on day one, Pacific Dunes on day two, Bandon Trails and Shorty's on day three, then Old Macdonald or Sheep Ranch on the last morning before driving out. Add a same day replay at half price if your legs allow it.
Getting there
The closest airport is Southwest Oregon Regional (OTH) in North Bend, about 35 minutes away. Eugene is about 2.5 hours, Medford 3 and Portland 4.5. The resort does not run airport transfers, so rent a car or book a local car service.

Do I have to stay at Bandon Dunes to play?
No. Day guests can play, but they pay more and can only book within 21 days unless they pay the premium rate for an earlier slot from April to mid November.
How much does it cost to play Bandon Dunes?
In 2026 resort guests pay 375 USD a round from June to September and 130 USD in January and December, with half price same day replays. Day guests pay 50 USD more, and the premium advance rate is higher again.
How do I book a room at Bandon Dunes?
The resort uses a drawing that sets the order in which people get to book. The 2027 windows have closed, and the 2028 drawing opened in September 2026 with four windows, entered through a log-in on the official site.
Can I ride a cart at Bandon Dunes?
No, all courses are walking only. A cart is offered only to golfers with a permanent disability, with a caddie, arranged before arrival.
How much is a caddie at Bandon Dunes?
100 USD per bag per round plus a tip, paid straight to the caddie. Book through the caddie request line.
When is the best time to go to Bandon Dunes?
August to October is the driest and most reliable stretch, with mild temperatures and long enough days for 36 holes. Winter green fees are much lower but the weather is less predictable.
